THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD

THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!! If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!!When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning.... Uphill... Barefoot.... BOTH ways Yadda, yadda, yadda And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it! But now that . . . I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of todayI hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it!I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!! There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter - with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox, and it would take like a week to get there! Stamps were 10 cents!Child Protective Services didn't care if our parents beat us. As a matter of fact, the parents of all my friends also had permission to kick our ass! Nowhere was safe! There were no MP3' s or Napsters! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished, and the tape would come undone. Cause - that's how we rolled, dig? We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called, they got a busy signal, that's it!And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister! We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen... Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! ;You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel! NO REMOTES!!!There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEKfor cartoons, you spoiled little rat-bastards!And we didn't have microwaves. If we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove! Imagine that! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980 or before!Regards,The Over 30 Crowd (Send this to someone you'd like to make smile, whether they are under 30 or not.)

My Picks for the VMA's

So the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are coming up and I decided to vote this year.

Best Female Video
· Beyonce "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
· Katy Perry "Hot N Cold"
· Kelly Clarkson "My Life Would Suck Without You"
· Lady Gaga "Poker Face"
· P!nk "So What"
· Taylor Swift "You Belong With Me"

My pick: Katy Perry "Hot N Cold." I liked her before she was real big with "I Kissed A Girl." I love how she wears vintage clothes and has an amazing singing voice. Wish her song "Ur So Gay" would've nominated instead but as it is more controversial than "I Kissed A Girl" it really hasn't gotten much air time.

Best Hip-Hop Video
· Asher Roth "I Love College"
· Eminem "We Made You"
· Flo Rida "Right Round"
· Jay-Z "D.O.A. Death of Auto-tune"
· Kanye West "Love Lockdown"

My pick: Flo Rida "Right Round." Eminem has gone down hill since his earlier days. His songs are funny but not really worth my time anymore. He's kind of ridiculous now. My other thought was Kanye West. Though I love that song...he's way too cocky already and doesn't need his ego inflated anymore than it already is. Flo Rida's song is a good one since I like some 80's songs and a remake of Right Round was great. Though the lyrics weren't the same it's still a great song.

Best Male Video
· Eminem "We Made You"
· Jay-Z "D.O.A."
· Ne-Yo "Miss Independent"
· T.I. feat. Rihanna "Live Your Life"
· Kayne West "Love Lockdown"

My pick: Kayne West "Love Lockdown" for lack of a better choice.

Best New Artist
· 3OH!3 "Don't Trust Me"
· Drake "Best I Ever Had"
· Kid Cudi "Day 'n' Nite"
· Lady Gaga " Poker Face"
· Asher Roth "I Love College"

My pick: Lady Gaga "Poker Face." My other pick would've been 3OH!3 "Don't Trust Me." Both very catchy songs.

Best Pop Video
· Beyoncé — "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
· Cobra Starship (featuring Leighton Meester) — "Good Girls Go Bad"
· Lady Gaga — "Poker Face"
· Britney Spears — "Womanizer"
· Wisin & Yandel — "Abusadora"

My pick: Lady Gaga "Poker Face." I already went through the whole Beyonce thing. Britney Spears...need I say more?

Best Rock Video
· Coldplay — "Viva la Vida"
· Fall Out Boy — "I Don't Care"
· Green Day — "21 Guns"
· Kings of Leon — "Use Somebody"
· Paramore — "Decode"

My pick: FOB "I Don't Care." I didn't choose Paramore since the Twilighters will be voting for them thought I do like them and I am a Twilighter it's time for some relief from that. Kings of Leon is good so it was a tie between FOB so I choose the band I've liked longer.

Breakthrough Video
· Anjulie — "Boom"
· Bat for Lashes — "Daniel"
· Chairlift — "Evident Utensil"
· Cold War Kids — "I've Seen Enough"
· Death Cab for Cutie — "Grapevine Fires"
· Gnarls Barkley — "Who's Gonna Save My Soul"
· Major Lazer — "Hold the Line"
· Matt and Kim — "Lessons Learned"
· Passion Pit — "The Reeling"
· Yeah Yeah Yeahs — "Heads Will Roll"

My pick: Uhhh...I don't remember since I randomly picked one! LOL.

Video of the Year
· Beyoncé — "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"
· Eminem — "We Made You"
· Lady Gaga — "Poker Face"
· Britney Spears — "Womanizer"
· Kanye West — "Love Lockdown"

My pick: Lady Gaga "Poker Face."

Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman)
· Beastie Boys — "Sabotage"
· Björk — "Human Behaviour"
· Dr. Dre — "Nuthin' but a "G" Thang"
· Foo Fighters — "Everlong"
· George Michael — "Freedom! '90"
· OK Go — "Here It Goes Again"
· Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers — "Into the Great Wide Open"
· Radiohead — "Karma Police"
· David Lee Roth — "California Girls"
· U2 — "Where the Streets Have No Name"

My pick: OK Go "Here It Goes Again." Come on! The treadmills were awesome!

New Place!

My mom wanted to build a website for her dogs and stuff. She tries to do one with google on her own. Let me say it was a little more complex than I thought it would be. I couldn't figure it out unless I'm dumb or something. I really didn't feel like reading the instructions because to me, if it's an easy website builder you shouldn't have to.

Anyways, I tell her I'll do it. I do some research. I found a couple of places that seemed easy but you have to pay before you can try it out or put your credit card info in. Hell no! I don't want to do that shit. I finally found Weebly. It's free and EASY! It's basically webpage building for dummies! So cool. So I might make my own website and blog there now since you can add a blog to your website. I'll probably still keep this up though.

Here's my mom's website link: Rockwood Labradors. It's a WIP.
